Elon Description
Heat oven to 325°f to 340°f.
Oil a deep casserole dish, or oven-safe dutch oven.
Layer the following in a casserole dish or oven safe dutch oven:
4 to 5 Peeled, Sliced Potatoes
2 small Sliced Onions
3 to 4 Ham Steaks torn into serving pieces
One 16 oz jar Cheese Dip/Sauce or 16 oz Sliced Velveeta (or more)
**Optional: 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar
Do not stir these ingredients, they bake in layers. Lastly, add 1/4 cup of water or broth. Bake covered for about 40 minutes, or until the onions and potatoes are fully cooked and slightly toasty.
Allow to cool covered about 10 minutes before serving.
Can adjust the amount of any of these ingredients. We always liked it with extra ham and cheese. But you can make it the way that suits you best.
This is always a favorite quick meal when the weather turns damp and cold.
